Man Who Didn't Show Up For Work Found Dead In Yard Of Neighbor's House In Poughkeepsie

A man who didn't show up for work was found dead in the backyard of a neighbor's house in the area.

City of Poughkeepsie Police responded to 39 Pembroke Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 11:30 a.m. to check on the welfare of the owner who had not shown up for work earlier in the morning.

The house and yard were checked by officers and friends with no sign of the owner.

A short time later, the 52-year-old man was discovered deceased in the rear yard of the neighboring house.

The Dutchess County Medical Examiner was notified and responded. There will be an autopsy done Thursday morning to determine the cause of death
